This week on Capire | Feminist Education in the Dominican Republic and Exchange Program to Defend the Forests
Hello, sisters of the world!
This week we published an article by Daniela Javier, of the National Confederation of Peasant Women (CONAMUCA) and the World March of Women Dominican Republic. Daniela writes about how she first met and joined the organization after attending a political education school, sharing that knowledge with women in her community, and the rich youth organizing experience in creative activities and education efforts about feminism.
Education experiences based on different models are fundamental to build grassroots movements around the world. The World Rainforest Movement and the World March of Women have organized an exchange program to share wisdom-knowledge and experiences about the struggle for forests and their communities. This article features accounts by some of the participants about the exchange methodology and the struggle against the green economy.
